Success stories of famous people who achieved success from repeated failures

1.  SUCCESS STORY OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN

We all know who Abraham Lincoln is?. He was the president of USA. Lot of failures for him before getting the president ship.
At 21 years of age, he failed in the business.
At 22 year of age, he was defeated in the election for assembly.
At 24 years of age he again tasted failure in the business.
At 26 years of age, his lover passes away.
At 27 years of age, he was in deep mental agony.
At 34 years of age, he was defeated in the American congress election.
At 45 years of age, he was defeated in the senate election.
At 47 years of age, he was defeated in the election for vice-president.
At 49 years of age, he was again defeated in the senate election.
AT 52 YEARS OF AGE ABRAHAM LINCOLN WON THE ELECTION FOR PRESIDENT.
Normally one would have fed up with the defeat and live with what he has. But Lincoln have fought all the defeats and found the success in the end.

2. SUCCESS STORY OF THOMAS ALVAEDISON
Once a student named Tomy returned home from school crying loud. On seeing this his mother asked him what had happened. He showed her a letter from his class teacher. His classteacher complained that Tomy is not clever, brilliant and smart enough to continue in the school. He is a laggard and the teacher
wants the Tomy's mother to transfer Tomy from the school. This Tomy later become the great scientist THOMA ALVA EDISON. Thomas Alva Edison had only 3 month education in the school. Thomas Elva Edison failed around thousand  times in the discovery of Electric bulb.

3. SUCCESS STORY OF DHIRUBHAI AMBANI

Dhirubhai Ambani started his entrepreneurial career by selling "bhajias" to pilgrims in Mount Girnar over the weekends during his early days. After doing his matriculation at the age of 16, Dhirubhai moved to Aden, Yemen. He worked there as a gas-station attendant, and as a dispatch clerk with A.Besse & Co. After becoming the distributor for the Shell products,A.Besse & Co promoted Dhirubhai to manage the company`s oil filling station at the port of Aden. But he returned to India in 1958 with Rs 50,000 and started the Reliance Commercial Corporation with a capital of Rs 15,000. From modest Rs.50,000 his empire now worth around 10 lakhs crores. What more he does not attend the school. If one has the patience and self-confidence and dedication for the aim in his life, one can taste success. Success will always follow the hard work. Clouds cannot always keep the sun in darkness.

4. SUCCESS STORY OF WILMA RUDOLF
The women who got 3 gold medals in Athletics in 1960 Olympics. Behind this fantastic achievement there is astory to tell. True encouragement for those guys who are desperate for success. For those people who think that they have disabilities and shortcomings and can't succeed like other winners, please read it .
Wilma Rudolf got Pneumonia and stroke at the age of 4. She has to wear Brace as per medical advice. Everyone believed she could not walk all through life. But her mother was not among them. She believed in hard work and dedication and confidence. She encouraged Wilma to expect good and feel good and work for the best. Her mother was confident that with practice and hard work coupled with divine touch Wilma can walk again. The aim of Wilma was to become the fastest women in the world.

From the age of 9, she began to walk despite the advice of doctors not to do so. Then from 13 th year onward she began to take part in the races. But in all races she could only manage last places. At the age of 15 she began training under Ed temple ,the trainer at Tennissi state University. Wilma worked hard under the trainer and her confidence was high. Her greatest weapon was hard work and confidence in her. At 1960 Olympics her opponent in 100m race was Jatta Hayden who was never defeated. Wilma defeated her and won gold medal. In 200 m race also Wilma defeated Hayden and won gold medal. In 400 m relay baton fallen from Wilma ,but she took it back and won the race.
In my belief not all have disabilities and short comings like Wilma had. But we believe we are short of some thing. We are not like winners. We lack something that winners have. It is the inner self that decide winner and looser. Every one can become a winner provided one put the hard work and dedication in the work.

5. SUCCESS STORY OF WARREN BUFFET

When he was a  boy, he delivered newspapers and filed his first tax return at age 13 – and he claimed $35 deduction for the bicycle he bought. Now he is the second richest person in the world.
The themes behind all the stories are that these leaders dream big. Really big.

6. SUCCESS STORY OF LARRY PAGE AND SERGEY BRIN

No need of introduction. In 1998 Google sets up workspace in Susan Wojcicki's garage at 232 Santa Margarita, Men-lo park and Larry and Sergey hire Craig Silverstein as their first employee. Rest is history. They too failed first. They approached Yahoo in their earlier years for selling the idea. But the reply was NO. Then what happened. Now Google is bigger than Yahoo.
Nowadays people tend to give more focus on failures. They easily come to the conclusion that they are not capable of doing it. Anyone who believes he can do it, can do it hundreds of times if he try it for 99 times. There is no short cut to success. We can achieve success only by sheer hard work and practice. Without these things success will always elude you. All success people have short comings. All failed people too have short comings. The difference is that success people try hard to impair their shortcomings but failed one repent and live and die along with their shortcomings.

7.SUCCESS STORY OF NATALIE DU TOIT.

She lost her left leg in an accident in 2001. She become the first leg amputee to take part in  the Paralympics and Olympics. Above mentioned stories always encourages desperate guys. Almost all human beings failed in their life many times. Almost every one. There is a story behind every success. The path to success is difficult. It is only the first that is always talked more. Neel Armstrong is more famous than Edwin Adrin. People will remember success for more time. They will remember the guy who come the first. Not the second. 2008 Olympics in 10k open water race she finished creditable 16 th out of 24 racers. Just over one minute behind the winner. The event is termed as Wrestling in water. That shows the stamina NATALIE DU TOIT has. If she live the life after the accident just like the most do then we may not have heard her name. She done it with her courage and hard work and determination.

Once Carl Marx said ' change is the only thing that does not change'. Change your life for good. Things will follow. There is no short cut to success. When you do the half the god will you the another half. There is no point in saying god is not favoring me. I have no luck. Luck will only favor the brave. Those who have Never say die attitude will succeed in life. Waiting for the god to give every thing in life is rubbish. God give the half only to those who are hard working and dedicate.  "Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm"'. These are the words of Winston Churchill. There is no easy success. Failures are the stepping stone of success. This great man had failed in the 6 th grade. Can you believe.

He was suffering from lot of injuries and all doubted his good days are over. His critics gained more voice and all expect Sachin to say good bye to the sport. 2000-2007 was the most worrisome for the Great. Even the then coach Chappel wants
him to resign from the team.

Clouds can't keep the sun under it for long. Then through hard work and dedication Sachin got back into form and created new records in Cricket like, Most centuries in cricket both in test and odi's , 2oo in Odi, Most runs in tests and Odi. Now no one dare to touch him. He is the only one to decide his date of retirement. The career of Sachin should taught us the way how one should approach life. His life combined with ups and downs. The hard work he put into his work truly admirable. Dedication, self confidence, ability to stay grounded amidst much fanfare, belief in his abilities, punctuality keep him the most admired and successful personalities in the world.

This is a man who has no hands, no legs. What is the importance of Hirotoda?. What you can expect from this man. Normally what these handicapped people will do. You can imagine. She doesn't get a any help from her husband. He had left her long back. Joe was struggling to meet both ends met. Still she worked hard to write as much as she can in the coffee shop. With all the hard work her first book was published and the name of the book is ' Harry potter and philosopher stone '. She got 1500 pound for her
first book. Now that Joe is popularly called J.K.Rowling. She is more richer than Queen Elizabeth. Now her earning comes to around 54.5crores pounds . How come that possible for a lady living alone without any help?.  It is due to her preservance and hard work. She stick to her abilities. God gave the rest. My advice for the desperate guys is, not to prey to the God for money and wealth. You have some abilities. Try to use those abilities in you. Make your abilities work for you. God will give you the rest.

But the performance enhancing drugs do the trick for him.  In 2012 he admitted about taking performance enhancing drugs and he was denied of all the trophies and titles including the Tour de france.  The house hold name of Lance Armstrong fades as a failure or rather a cheater.  All his achievements losses its glitter.  Still the fight back will be treated by everyone as a motivation but not the drug using.

Goal-Achieving

Every time you make a decision during the day, ask yourself this question, “Does it take me closer to, or further from my goal.” If the answer is “closer to,” then you’ve made the right decision. If the answer is “further from,” well, you know what to do.

If you follow this process everyday you will be on your way to achieving unlimited success in every aspect of your life.

In life, the things you want cannot be achieved at the present level of comfort that you may be operating in. You must step out into a new zone. Step into a new set of risks.

Just take an example of you wanting to shed those extra kilos. After so long of not exercising, that final day that you decide to start your jogging routine and healthy diet, is it easy to start off?

The road to success comes through hard work, determination, and personal sacrifice

I
would like to break this winning formula down into "easy
to chew" bite-sized chunks. In doing so, we will look
at four smaller nuggets of truth. The first nugget is: "THE
ROAD TO SUCCESS," the second is: "HARD WORK,"
the third: "DETERMINATION," and the fourth nugget
worthy of a closer look is: "PERSONAL SACRIFICE."
For our conclusion, I will ask, "Who will answer this
call?"

Let
us get started with the first nugget of truth, "THE ROAD
TO SUCCESS." The road to success starts within a heart
that wants to be the best at something--a heart, mind, and
soul that does not want to be ordinary, but extraordinary.
These words of hope come from the roots of our country's heritage
where ordinary people, who have a dream, work hard to achieve.
Let these words of truth breathe life into the core of your
bones. Winners never look for the easy way out. They simply
look at the impossible, and say to themselves to set their
heart upon this lofty dream and chase after it with their
whole heart. The road to success is narrow, and many will
miss it because the road to failure is broad and easy. Plant
your feet firmly upon the rock of your desire to become the
best. It is easy to fail; do not work hard, and do not have
a dream--that is all it takes. However, that is all right,
because somewhere out there is an ordinary person hoping that
is exactly what you are doing--nothing. Yes, the road to an
average, mediocre life is easy, but for those who have a dream,
the road to success is another story. Count the cost before
you start down this road; for in a month, or in a year will
you still be fighting to become the best? Oh, but the road
to success is filled with life, happiness, and sweet, sweet
victory! Are you ready to travel down this road to success
no matter what the price? Learn to enjoy the journey and be
committed to the long haul to achieve your heart's desire.

Let
us now turn to the second nugget of truth, "HARD WORK."
It will take hard work on the part of anyone who wants to
be the best. How much work will it take? That depends on your
final goal, or the greatness of your dream. If you want to
be the best, then you are going to have to do more than others
do. Kobe Bryant, in the off season, shoots 2000 times a day.
Are you willing to work that hard to be the best? Any ordinary
person can stay ordinary, but those who will work hard, doing
a daily routine, will become extraordinary people. Ordinary
people do not just wake up one day with large, strong arms
or legs; they use hard work to build their muscles. There
is no secret here and definitely no short cuts. No one is
born looking like Mr. Universe. Do you want to be bigger,
stronger, and faster? You must buy into this daily work ethic.
You must learn to carry this method of success into every
realm of your daily existence. If you will learn to reflect
a spirit of excellence in everything you do, the hard work
will become second nature to you. Make a name for yourself
by being the best at everything you set your mind to master.
Become a daily learner, a daily reader, and educate yourself
in the area that you want to be the best. "HARD WORK;"
there is no easy way to accomplish what no other has done.
"HARD WORK" built America. "HARD WORK"
is one element which will help you achieve your greatest dreams.
The problem with our human nature is that we want everything
right now. We have become a "microwave society."
We want success the same way; we want it right now and we
want it the easy way. Sorry, wrong answer. If you buy into
this type of method for success, then you are the one who
probably buys lottery tickets, hoping for your millions. The
odds of that happening are stacked against you; those people
make a lot of money from those tickets. There is nothing that
pays off better than good old fashioned HARD WORK!

A
farmer goes out and works hard to plant his crop. He waters
it, weeds it, and even fertilizes his field. His, "HARD
WORK" will pay off at harvest time. If the farmer did
not water, weed, and fertilize his crop, it would yield very
little. If the athlete will not plant a crop of "HARD
WORK" he, too, will yield nothing for his effort. All
of this takes time; the farmers, as well as the athletes,
earn great rewards from their continual effort. With "HARD
WORK," you can expect to get bigger, stronger, and faster.

Let
us chew for a while on the next nugget of success, "DETERMINATION."
Another word that fits this section is tenacity. Never give
up your dreams. Set your mind, soul, and heart upon doing
everything necessary to become your best. Notice I said, "Your
best;" learn how to become the best you are capable of.
"DETERMINATION" means that you look at yourself
and make no excuses. As you find your weak areas, attack them
to better yourself. One of my weak areas of life was reading.
I gave up all my excuses and started reading everything in
the area of my interest; now I love to read. One might have
very weak arms; get over it and get busy correcting the problem
area. Are you out of shape? Get over it and be determined
to change that problem. Do you have problems in Math? Get
over it, ask for help, and learn. Never let your emotions
have the best of you. Control your emotions and do whatever
it takes to be the best.

A
young man won a gold metal in the Olympics on the pistol rage
using his right hand. He went home after the competition a
winner, but he had a dream to win a second gold metal in four
years. While at work, his right hand was crushed by machinery
to the point surgeons had to amputate his shooting hand. Our
young man was "DETERMINED," and left himself no
excuses. Our athlete went to work, developed his left hand,
went back to the following Olympics, and won his second gold
metal. This, my reader is "DETERMINATION" to the
extreme. He did not have a right hand. What is your excuse?
Another high school student lost his leg, yet he plays on
the line for his team. What is your excuse? I had a friend
who had polio in his legs, making them both useless; however,
he was on our wrestling team at my school. He would crawl
after his opponents, then he would pin them. He became a wrestler
for a college team. Do you have DETERMINATION?

"PERSONAL
SACRIFICE" is next on our agenda on which to meditate.
What will it take to become the best? This section is really
all about making daily choices to stay on the narrow road
to success. Instead of another video game to exercise your
thumbs, buy equipment, which will help you become the best.
I am sure that Kobe Bryant bought a basketball instead of
video games. I am sure the man who lost his hand wanted to
give up and quit, but instead went out and bought a left-handed
gun. Instead of doing what you want to, do what is necessary
to become the best. I wanted to become a better athlete at
one point in my life, so I set a daily routine and stuck with
it, even when I did not feel like it. I asked my father to
build me a goal post in our back yard. I would go to the neighbors
and kick from their back yard, day in and day out. I won the
kicking position that year on the varsity squad. This is "PERSONAL
SACRIFICE." Make the right choices about your diet, your
sleeping habits, and your friends (yes, even your friends.)
Place around you people who will help you achieve your dreams.
Spending time with those who do drugs and want to get in trouble
will carry you far away from your dreams.

After
working with youth for over 22 years, I see those who have
no vision or plan for their lives perish. However, those who
will make the plans and make the personal sacrifices necessary
to succeed, go on in life to be successful. I started to speak
life into the world of an eighth grader on the road to destruction
using drugs. Since then, she has become a highly successful
artist, graduating from an art college with honors. There
was a freshman, though once devastated by her parents' separation,
has now become an elementary school teacher. My daughter,
Leia, set aside her love life until she reached her goal of
becoming a registered nurse. Keep your focus on the prize.
Set your dream, your goal in front of you, and then stay focused
on it. My daughter will graduate from college this May, and
at the age of 22 is willing to think about her love life and

"Who
will answer this call?" Those who dare to be the best
and are positive will answer the call. Those who answer the
call are not afraid of trying to become someone special, someone
important, and someone successful. It is better to have tried
and failed than to have never tried. Those will answer who
want their life to mean something and want to be remembered
for their achievements. "Who will answer this call?"
There is a call going out to all. Will you step up and answer
the call to be someone of excellence? Will you, can you, or
are you going to step on to the road which leads to success?
It does not matter where you step on to that road; it only
matters that you step on to it, and are determined to never
get off the road once you are there. "Who will answer
this call?" Few people answer this call. Will you be
the one that will overcome all obstacles in your way as you
travel long and hard down this narrow road? It does not matter
if others will answer this call; what matters are your own
deep convictions. Will you answer this call of life? One additional
benefit is others may follow if you show them the way through
your example.

I
have answered this call in my life to be the best I was created
to be. I have been on this road since 1981, and have led many
down the same road. Enjoy life by enjoying the process of
success. Enjoy those around you as you see them progress down
the same road. Rejoice with them as they rejoice with you
in the triumph of overcoming all the odds to become the best
you can be.

Success Or Failure in Life - What Makes the Difference?

If we are honest with you, how could I possibly be smart enough or wise enough to give you and me one of THE BIG SECRETS IN LIFE?

How can anyone know what THE SECRET is?

Yet, let's take a shot at it. First, may I be bold enough to say that almost nobody under seventy knows what THE SECRET is. Fortunately, I am over seventy!!!

All kidding aside, what is the SECRET BETWEEN SUCCESS AND FAILURE?

Let us start with a premise: You have to look at the character of a person to evaluate whether they know A SECRET OF LIFE OR NOT. Are they:

* developed beings, integrated and whole?
* do they exploit others by lying to them or selling them a job?
* do they prove they are successful by leading integrated lives?
* to they practice what they preach and have positive results?
* in their own sphere of influence with those they know to they make a positive contribution to their lives?
* do those who claim to have THE SECRET also deal effectively with the NEGATIVES of life, THE GREAT TESTOR?

You can make your own list. These are the guidelines I have used in my life developing myself and interacting with other people of note.

Shall we add one more? Let's!

ARE THE PEOPLE WHO PROCLAIM THE SECRET MAKING A LOT OF MONEY OFF OF OTHER PEOPLE BY PROCLAIMING THEIR SECRET?

Are they using money and prosperity as a chief measure to you that their secret works?

Here's the flaw in such reasoning.

A true to reality life principle works because it is effective. Does your Proclaimed Secret make lot's of money for the few or for the many who buy your hype and your product? Being successful for the few is just by chance out of the many. A few make it and many don't. It's just like the guru phenom. The guru makes it and buys Rolls Royce's. The followers remain poor and inadequate sinners while the guru or pope is seen as glorious and realized. The One and The Many again. Don't think that because a few look successful that the many will also who also practice THE SECRET.

THE SECRET IS EFFECTIVENESS IN LIFE!

Did you know that? It's my secret. When I was in school and university I could almost always get the highest grades when I wanted to and studied hard enough. It was fun. It made me feel important. It gave me a sense of ego, that I am different and better than the rest of them.

For some strange and evil reason school systems foster this approach by giving better grades to the few over the many. They foster competition and egocentricity. It took me awhile to realize that getting the best grades was a false measure of life. School and the educational system is not the real world. The academics who run that system are in retreat from the real world, unless an occasional professor gets out there and invents useful things and services that working people truly need to better their lives.

If you can be EFFECTIVE in life in various ways then you put your mouth where your words are. Do your words fall on shallow ground, like the educational system of artificial rewards and punishments? Or do your words fall on fertile ground of hard work, commitment to excellence and positive results for the whole team and not just its leaders?

This is a general essay about the quality of life and how to live its real issues and solve them positively. Now we take the focus to writing as a serious endeavor.

WRITING THE NOVEL OR SCREEN PLAY AND SUCCEEDING AT IT

We can give you no magic formula here but we can take a strong position in the right direction that has worked for us.

THE SECRET IS EFFECTIVENESS IN LIFE AND IN WRITING

We don't care so much what you have to do to get there, but you should do almost all your actions to problem-solve effectively.

YOU MUST PROBLEM-SOLVE REAL PROBLEMS AND CREATE PRODUCTS AND VALUES OF EXCELLENCE TO PROVE EFFECTIVENESS IN LIFE.

THE SECRET IS EFFECTIVENESS.

Effectiveness is when what happens consistently is what we intend to happen. When the scientists produced the first atomic bomb they were not sure from their physics knowledge what would actually happen. Would the chain reaction of splitting atoms form a reaction in all matter and almost instantly destroy the world? Or would the bomb explosion be localized to only the radioactive materials in the bomb itself. The bomb worked and now physics as a valid body of truth is confirmed forever. It is not just theoretical but practical. The scientists produced what they intended to produce.

In any field, ask how can you become effective and solve at least some of the problems in that field?

In writing the novel it is the same situation as in physics. Can we produce the bomb? Can we create something that can almost instantly kill millions of people and end life on earth as we know it? Shall we try to prove that humanity can indeed do this? No, because the proving would kill the scientists as well. No one wants such pragmatic knowledge at such a great price!!!

Can we then in a lesser field prove what makes for a successful novel?

Do the successful novelists know what makes for their success in writing novels that sell?

Does Danielle Steele know consciously what sells her novels? Has she told anyone? What is her great secret of effectiveness, for she is the most successful living author on earth with over 500 million of her books sold. Yes, I read that as a fact somewhere, and I believe it, having analyzed one of her books.

Not only does Danielle Steele write exciting books but she has THE SECRET. It is not what current New Age Sales People try to tell you THE SECRET IS, which seems to be, THINK POSITIVE AND YOU WILL DRAW POSITIVE ENERGY TO YOU.

The secret for the successful novelist is:

CRAFT: CRAFT! CRAFT! CRAFT!

Not talent alone. Not writing good sentences. Not having a great writer's imagination only. Not being a celebrity and that is what sells your books. Not having media publicity and so that makes you a best-seller writer.

CRAFT SELLS BOOKS.

CRAFT IS THE SECRET OF EFFECTIVENESS IN THE NOVEL WRITING BUSINESS.

That's how we see it from this end. I have a university masters in English Literature, and another one in Psychology, but neither university taught me how to write novels. They taught me how to analyze novels. They taught me how to analyze people, not how to construct great characters.

Yet now the world is different in the new century. There are a lot of writing craft courses and books out there. We have utilized a lot of the best in making our huge collection of over 2000 writing tools and helps. We did it to learn how to write effective novels ourselves. We pass on to you, also a writer, the same writing craft tools and prompts that we are using ourselves to improve and make dramatically effective our own novels and other things we do like articles and podcasts.

CRAFT KNOWLEDGE USE IS THE SECRET OF EFFECTIVENESS IN WRITING A SUCCESSFUL NOVEL.

Don't believe me. You want to just sit down and write, like one editor at the Writer's Digest Forum maintains? Well, go ahead, do it your way. You will do it your way, anyway. But if you want to become effective as a writer and stand half a chance at success, you will learn your craft from beginning to end.

Be sure and study well the fifty leading writing craft books that I have. Be sure and take some creative writing courses to see how little the instructors know about writing. Read and analyze all the great novels you want to, and still fail to understand how to write an effective novel. Mine the blogs on creative writing and drown in the ideas of failure express there by so many people.

No, yes, if you want success, make sure your writing at its final stage is effective writing. If it does not demand to be read by readers then it is not effective writing and it will never be read because you DON'T HAVE A GOOD STORY, and YOU DO NOT USE EFFECTIVE CRAFT KNOWLEDGE TO TELL YOUR STORY.

I have 100,000 words of my novel. I have 350,000 books sold in eight languages. I have one a best seller, The Dream Cards, at 110,000 copies sold in eight languages around the world. This is no bragging. This is reality testing. I am trying to write well because I love writing and because I want to be successful in real terms at it.

My latest research? It is my podcasts which got 63,000 listeners in the first year. During that same time the podcasts that got me the most listeners was the Prologue to my Jesus Novel at around 4000 listeners. A number of other podcasts are almost up there with this number, such as my Loving Laurie podcast.

Yet the top one is The Prologue To The Jesus Novel. I put it there to get response, to test the market. I put this podcast out in two parts to get public response from strangers. Could I gauge the interest in the subject matter, and would people actually listen in large numbers?

This is the testing of EFFECTIVENESS.

EFFECTIVENESS FOR A WRITER IS GREAT STORY WEDDED TO GREAT CRAFT IN WRITING IT.

We stand behind our comprehensive collection of writing craft tools. We were astounded that only one writing craft book had a large collection of writing tools and the others didn't. We were astounded that our writing course instructors did not give us writing tools but simply readings from novels and memoirs to comment on, and also made banal comments on our own work. Ho-Hum!

If you want EFFECTIVENESS in life, learn the necessary craft that goes with your field. If you want to be a successful lover, don't just go for experiences. Go for quality. Go for excellence. Learn from the best teachers who know their love craft. Learn! Problem-Solve! Create Excellence.

To do this you have to be effective in life, do you not?

We wish you all the success possible to you in life!

There's Life after Failure

Richard Milhous Nixon--most will remember him as the first U. S. president forced to resign his office. Others will remember him as the skillful American diplomat who opened relations with the most populous country in the world, the People's Republic of China. I will remember him as a midlife man who taught us a valuable lesson: there is life after failure.

Implicated in the Watergate break-in and subsequent cover-up, and on the brink of impeachment by a bipartisan Congress, in 1974 Nixon resigned in disgrace from the nation's highest elected office. Twenty years later Nixon was eulogized by an equally bipartisan group including three former commanders-in-chief as well as the current office-holder, Bill Clinton. President Clinton pointed out that Nixon wrote nine of his 10 books after his resignation. He became a counselor to three presidents, including Clinton himself who sought his advice on American foreign policy with Russia.

Perhaps the most significant tribute to Nixon came from a surprising source, former opponent in the bitter 1972 presidential campaign George McGovern. Now a personal friend of Nixon, McGovern said that the former president improved as an individual when he left the White House. "I saw him become more compassionate, less affected and more genuine as a human being," said McGovern.

I often write in this column of those who, through no fault of their own, fail in midlife. They experience a failed marriage or business, or they see children go astray. I try to point out that there is plenty of reason for hope in these instances.

But what happens when we are our own worst enemy, when we sin against our own conscience? As former president Nixon said after his resignation, "I let down my friends, I let down my country, I let down our system of government." Is there life after this kind of personal failure? The answer is yes, and Nixon proved it.

How did Richard Nixon do it?

People Magazine said that he found comfort in a friend's homespun wisdom: "Whether you have been knocked down, or are on the ropes, always remember that life is 99 rounds." According to People Nixon later recalled thinking, "Well I still have a few rounds to go."

Similarly, Senator Robert Dole reminded mourners at the graveside of the former president's own words: "You must never be satisfied with success . . . and you should never be discouraged by failure. Failure can be sad, but the greatest sadness is not to try and fail, but to fail to try."

Some of the saddest stories I hear are from people who fail in midlife and then give up. Some attempt suicide, which only hurts their friends and does nothing to regain a good reputation. Others let alcohol abuse and other health risks take their lives more slowly. Still others simply drop out of active living. They retreat into a private world and avoid significant engagement with others.

Most of these people do not like the bland existence they live; they simply think there is no choice. They have failed, and they are convinced that there is neither the time nor the resources to recover.

Nonsense. Richard Nixon was in his seventh decade when he staged his comeback. So don't give up. There is life after failure.

7 Powerful Tips to Overcome Failure

You always pass failure on the way to success.
Mickey Rooney

Failure is inevitable if we are to succeed in life. Unfortunately, many people do not know how to overcome failure, and they are stopped by it when they encounter one. The ability to overcome failure is one big difference between successful and mediocre people. After all, we should pass failure on the way to success, so it is the ability to pass it that makes the difference between those who eventually reach success and those who don’t.

So, knowing that overcoming failure is essential, what should we do? Here are some tips to help you overcome failure:

1. Rise up and don’t regret; you have spent your time wisely

A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.
George Bernard Shaw

When we fail, we might be tempted to think that we have wasted our time and thus regret it. But that’s should not be the case. The fact that you have done something is much better than doing nothing. Many people who despise persons who fail never do anything themselves. Rise up and move on. The regret lies not in doing, but in not doing.

2. Understand that failure is there to bring you wisdom

Good people are good because they’ve come to wisdom through failure.
William Saroyan

Failure is there not without a reason. It’s there to give you the wisdom you need to succeed. Each failure you encounter increases your wisdom and brings you one step closer to success. If you have this mindset, you will see failure differently. You will see each failure as an opportunity to learn.

3. Learn as much as possible from the failure

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.
Albert Einstein

While failure brings you wisdom, how much wisdom you will get depends entirely on your ability to harvest it. So don’t waste the opportunity to learn; harvest wisdom as much as possible from the failure. If you fail to do this, you may waste a lot of time by repeating the same mistakes in the future.

4. Don’t give up; maybe you are only one step away from success

Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
Thomas A. Edison

The thought of giving up is tempting, especially when we have failed over and over again. But who knows that maybe you are only one step away from success? Will you waste the long journey you have passed when you are already so close to your destination?

So hold on tight and don’t give up. Thomas Edison failed thousands of times to perfect the light bulb. He knew what it means not to give up.

5. Maintain your enthusiasm

Not only you should keep on trying, you should also do it with the same level of enthusiasm as when you first began. Otherwise your subsequent effort will have less and less power.

So how do you maintain enthusiasm? One good way is by realizing that you are now one step closer to success thanks to the lessons you learn. There’s no reason not to be enthusiastic when you are getting closer to success. Another way is to keep your mind on the destination, which brings us to the next point.

6. Keep dreaming big dreams

Always have your destination in mind; keep dreaming your big dreams. Spend time to visualize them and let the dreams energize you. Let them make you passionate and enthusiastic. Once you cease dreaming, soon you will also lose your energy and be back to mediocrity. To overcome all the obstacles you encounter you always need a greater why, and that why is provided by your dreams.

7. Keep your confidence in yourself

Don’t be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality. If you can dream it, you can make it so.
Belva Davis

Keep your confidence in yourself despite the failure. Of course, you need to put a lot of effort and learn as much as possible from the failure, but you have the ability to make your dream come true. Many people who achieve great undertakings have no special trait. They are just ordinary people with extraordinary attitude. Let’s be one of them.

successful failures

Have you seen that great Nike advertisement where Michael Jordan is walking in slow motion toward the locker room with his voice in the background? He is saying “I’ve missed more than 9, 000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot— and missed. I’ve failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

“I’ve failed over and over again in my life.”
Michael Jordan, possibly the greatest basketball player ever to play the game, acknowledges that his failures helped him succeed. Far too many believers believe that our failures doom us. But the reality is that our failures are neither fatal nor final.

God can take our failures and turn them into His triumphs. He took Moses, an outcast failure, and made him a leader. Paul reminds us “God has chosen the weak things of this world to shame the things which are strong.” 1 Cor. 1:27b Come to think of it, Peter and Paul were both pretty good examples of it!

So don’t be afraid to fail in your attempts for God. After all, those failures may just be the thing that helps you succeed as God takes a weakness and transforms you into greatness.

Failed love story

You see it started like this.
Like every love story.
It's the same over and over
again.
About one girl and a guy
and they both fall in love,
they think everything will work
out. And they will always
be happy together. That
love is unbreakable. But
this is how they end. There
not always eternal happiness.
There's always a price to pay.
And at the end...
They always end up hurt and
always at the end
nothing will work out.
Well this is life.
This has happened to me.
A failed love story not a
fairytale. To me love
is something painful,
something miserable.
Always being hurt at the end.
This is a true love story
like all of them. Not a
fairytale but a failed
love story

The End is Begining

dont leave me here alone
my mind cant take it
noone to follow
in a sea of knives
ropes
and poisns
so much pain
tenfold without you
sorry i suck
i will not trouble you
anymore
i ask just one favor of you
help me pick out
a nice weapon
to stop the pain

The End is Begining

dont leave me here alone
my mind cant take it
noone to follow
in a sea of knives
ropes
and poisns
so much pain
tenfold without you
sorry i suck
i will not trouble you

AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF DR AMBEDKAR who have fought many struggles and became a succesful person

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Biography

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
Born: April 14, 1891
Died: December 6, 1956
Achievements: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was elected as the chairman of the drafting committee that was constituted by the Constituent Assembly to draft a constitution for the independent India; he was the first Law Minister of India; conferred Bharat Ratna in 1990.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is viewed as messiah of dalits and downtrodden in India. He was the chairman of the drafting committee that was constituted by the Constituent Assembly in 1947 to draft a constitution for the independent India. He played a seminal role in the framing of the constitution. Bhimrao Ambedkar was also the first Law Minister of India. For his yeoman service to the nation, B.R. Ambedkar was bestowed with Bharat Ratna in 1990.

Dr.Bhimrao Ambedkar was born on April 14, 1891 in Mhow (presently in Madhya Pradesh). He was the fourteenth child of Ramji and Bhimabai Sakpal Ambavedkar. B.R. Ambedkar belonged to the "untouchable" Mahar Caste. His father and grandfather served in the British Army. In those days, the government ensured that all the army personnel and their children were educated and ran special schools for this purpose. This ensured good education for Bhimrao Ambedkar, which would have otherwise been denied to him by the virtue of his caste.

Bhimrao Ambedkar experienced caste discrimination right from the childhood. After his retirement, Bhimrao's father settled in Satara Maharashtra. Bhimrao was enrolled in the local school. Here, he had to sit on the floor in one corner in the classroom and teachers would not touch his notebooks. In spite of these hardships, Bhimrao continued his studies and passed his Matriculation examination from Bombay University with flying colours in 1908. Bhim Rao Ambedkar joined the Elphinstone College for further education. In 1912, he graduated in Political Science and Economics from Bombay University and got a job in Baroda.

In 1913, Bhimrao Ambedkar lost his father. In the same year Maharaja of Baroda awarded scholarship to Bhim Rao Ambedkar and sent him to America for further studies. Bhimrao reached New York in July 1913. For the first time in his life, Bhim Rao was not demeaned for being a Mahar. He immersed himself in the studies and attained a degree in Master of Arts and a Doctorate in Philosophy from Columbia University in 1916 for his thesis "National Dividend for India: A Historical and Analytical Study." From America, Dr.Ambedkar proceeded to London to study economics and political science. But the Baroda government terminated his scholarship and recalled him back.

The Maharaja of Baroda appointed Dr. Ambedkar as his political secretary. But no one would take orders from him because he was a Mahar. Bhimrao Ambedkar returned to Bombay in November 1917. With the help of Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur, a sympathizer of the cause for the upliftment of the depressed classes, he started a fortnightly newspaper, the "Mooknayak" (Dumb Hero) on January 31, 1920. The Maharaja also convened many meetings and conferences of the "untouchables" which Bhimrao addressed. In September 1920, after accumulating sufficient funds, Ambedkar went back to London to complete his studies. He became a barrister and got a Doctorate in science.

After completing his studies in London, Ambedkar returned to India. In July 1924, he founded the Bahishkrit Hitkaraini Sabha (Outcastes Welfare Association). The aim of the Sabha was to uplift the downtrodden socially and politically and bring them to the level of the others in the Indian society. In 1927, he led the Mahad March at the Chowdar Tank at Colaba, near Bombay, to give the untouchables the right to draw water from the public tank where he burnt copies of the 'Manusmriti' publicly.

In 1929, Ambedkar made the controversial decision to co-operate with the all-British Simon Commission which was to look into setting up a responsible Indian Government in India. The Congress decided to boycott the Commission and drafted its own version of a constitution for free India. The Congress version had no provisions for the depressed classes. Ambedkar became more skeptical of the Congress's commitment to safeguard the rights of the depressed classes.

When a separate electorate was announced for the depressed classes under Ramsay McDonald 'Communal Award', Gandhiji went on a fast unto death against this decision. Leaders rushed to Dr. Ambedkar to drop his demand. On September 24, 1932, Dr. Ambedkar and Gandhiji reached an understanding, which became the famous Poona Pact. According to the pact the separate electorate demand was replaced with special concessions like reserved seats in the regional legislative assemblies and Central Council of States.

Dr. Ambedkar attended all the three Round Table Conferences in London and forcefully argued for the welfare of the "untouchables". Meanwhile, British Government decided to hold provincial elections in 1937. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar set up the "Independent Labor Party" in August 1936 to contest the elections in the Bombay province. He and many candidates of his party were elected to the Bombay Legislative Assembly.

In 1937, Dr. Ambedkar introduced a Bill to abolish the "khoti" system of land tenure in the Konkan region, the serfdom of agricultural tenants and the Mahar "watan" system of working for the Government as slaves. A clause of an agrarian bill referred to the depressed classes as "Harijans," or people of God. Bhimrao was strongly opposed to this title for the untouchables. He argued that if the "untouchables" were people of God then all others would be people of monsters. He was against any such reference. But the Indian National Congress succeeded in introducing the term Harijan. Ambedkar felt bitter that they could not have any say in what they were called.

In 1947, when India became independent, the first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, invited Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, who had been elected as a Member of the Constituent Assembly from Bengal, to join his Cabinet as a Law Minister. The Constituent Assembly entrusted the job of drafting the Constitution to a committee and Dr. Ambedkar was elected as Chairman of this Drafting Committee. In February 1948, Dr. Ambedkar presented the Draft Constitution before the people of India; it was adopted on November 26, 1949.

In October 1948, Dr. Ambedkar submitted the Hindu Code Bill to the Constituent Assembly in an attempt to codify the Hindu law. The Bill caused great divisions even in the Congress party. Consideration for the bill was postponed to September 1951. When the Bill was taken up it was truncated. A dejected Ambedkar relinquished his position as Law Minister.

On May 24, 1956, on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, he declared in Bombay, that he would adopt Buddhism in October. On 0ctober 14, 1956 he embraced Buddhism along with many of his followers. On December 6, 1956, Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar died peacefully in his sleep.

But They Did Not Give Up..............never

"Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better."
~ Samuel Beckett

As a young man, Abraham Lincoln went to war a captain and returned a private. Afterwards, he was a failure as a businessman. As a lawyer in Springfield, he was too impractical and temperamental to be a success. He turned to politics and was defeated in his first try for the legislature, again defeated in his first attempt to be nominated for congress, defeated in his application to be commissioner of the General Land Office, defeated in the senatorial election of 1854, defeated in his efforts for the vice-presidency in 1856, and defeated in the senatorial election of 1858. At about that time, he wrote in a letter to a friend, "I am now the most miserable man living. If what I feel were equally distributed to the whole human family, there would not be one cheerful face on the earth."

Winston Churchill failed sixth grade. He was subsequently defeated in every election for public office until he became Prime Minister at the age of 62. He later wrote, "Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never - in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never, Never, Never, Never give up." (his capitals, mind you)

Socrates was called "an immoral corrupter of youth" and continued to corrupt even after a sentence of death was imposed on him. He drank the hemlock and died corrupting.

Sigmund Freud was booed from the podium when he first presented his ideas to the scientific community of Europe. He returned to his office and kept on writing.

Robert Sternberg received a C in his first college introductory-psychology class. His teacher commented that "there was a famous Sternberg in psychology and it was obvious there would not be another." Three years later Sternberg graduated with honors from Stanford University with exceptional distinction in psychology, summa cum laude, and Phi Beta Kappa. In 2002, he became President of the American Psychological Association.

Charles Darwin gave up a medical career and was told by his father, "You care for nothing but shooting, dogs and rat catching." In his autobiography, Darwin wrote, "I was considered by all my masters and my father, a very ordinary boy, rather below the common standard of intellect." Clearly, he evolved.

The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps."

We see our past achievements as the end result of a clean forward thrust, and our present difficulties as signs of decline and decay."
~ Eric Hoffer
